We have a 'Dog gone'.
I have mentioned 'Big Foot' the cat that was taken from Key West to
the north, now we have Bonny, the border collie that has disappeared. www.whereisbonny.com.
This week has been
kind of slow, even if it did start with a 3 day week end. The weather
is wonderful, low 80's in the day and low 70's at night. Saturday
morning it was in the low 70's with a nice breeze and felt like the
first day of fall. I love this time of year. We have turned off the
air conditioning for the first time since April.
Next week is ' Goombay'
the celebration of African Heritage. Most of the activities will be in
Bahamas Village (about 10,000 visitors). The week after that is
'Fantasy Fest' (about 80,000 visitors). This is Key West's biggest
party of the year. and then the week after that will be 'MOTM'
(Meeting of the Minds about 3,000 visitors). This is when the Jimmy
Buffett's Parrot Heads hit the island. Then there are the cruise ships daily
with about 3,000 passengers each. It is going to get a little crowded
on this little island. It is wonderful that all of these people just
want to visit the little island I live on.
Key West, You have got
to love it
