The weather here has been
hotter than usual for this time of the year. Many of the flowers on the island
are in bloom. Our hibiscus, key lime tree and orange tree are beautiful.
Wednesday we were the hot spot in the US with 84 degrees. Needless to say the
air conditioning was running again until this week end when a cold front came
thru and dropped the temp at night to 62 degrees.
If you are a Buffett fan then
you know what this weeks book was 'A Salty Piece of Land' by Jimmy Buffett. It
is a story about a Wyoming cowboy, Tully Mars, roaming the Caribbean with the
101 year old Cleopatra aboard her ship the Lucretia. I enjoyed it
greatly.
The HMS Bounty, a square
rigger is in the Key West Harbor near Mallory Square and next to
Christmas Tree Island (http://www.tallshipbounty.org/main.html).
It appears there is another movie being filmed in the waters off Key West.
(What does HMS stand for?)
The 2,000 sq ft house next
door that went on the market last week has sold for a little over $1.5
million.
Big Foot the cat's trial
appears to have been delayed.
Key West, You have got to love
it

PS
HMS stands for Her/His
Majesty's Ship (British)
