Boardwalk Billy's Pre-Concert Parties

Memorial Day and Tuesday, June 1st will go down in Sandlapper history as our first ever pre-concert parties. They'll also go down History Boulevard as a couple of damn good parties! We were jammin' to Worthington Station, Jimmy Gladden, Erik Smith and the Caribbean Cowboys. My hat is off to all of you. Both days we had a table set up with our club merchandise for sale. After the final tally, we ended up selling over $600 worth of caps, tee shirts, koozies and, the hottest item of the two day affair, inflatable Mylar shark hats (Thanks Kevin). We sold raffle tickets as well and gave away as a grand prize 2 tickets to the concert. We also gave away a blow-up parrot, a Caribbean Soul tee shirt, a club Koozie and a club tee shirt. Special thanks to Don Heard & the Parrot Heads of Charlotte for doing most of the foot work in getting this party coordinated.

There were many moments that will be forever etched in my memory: Bill Sims doing God's Own Drunk in front of a gazillion Parrot Heads; Bongo Bob and his crab races (thanks for the $30 donation Bob); the awesome attendance by Sandlapper PH Club members; finally meeting Jackson "BubbaFreak" Quigley; and of course the phabulous concert by our phriend Mr. Buffett. Now when and where is that next road trip? Raleigh? Atlanta? Cincinnati? Key West?
